Let’s face it: if our pets had opposable thumbs, they’d be brushing their teeth too. Certainly, we don’t want our dogs to to have bad doggy breath, yuck! Since they can’t do their own brushing, it’s important that we provide that service for them, along with a host of maintenance and urgent dental pet care services. The services we provide are similar to what’s available for humans during a typical bi-annual dental exam.
As humans, we know that life can be pretty miserable with a toothache, a jaw ache, something stuck in our gums, or – worse – loose teeth that are ready to fall out. We need our teeth and so do our pets!
At LBVMC, we aim to create the most comfortable and gentle dental experience for your pet. Our state-of-the-art technology helps us to provide as stress free and as comfortable dental care as possible. The equipment that we invested in allows us to provide fast, efficient and painless cleaning, extractions and surgeries. Our dental suite, as we like to call it, is an entire room dedicated to full dental pet care. Our equipment includes ultrasonic de-scalers, an instant x-ray machine, and a state-of-the-art lighting system allowing us to effectively remove all plaque.
Furthermore, we are one of the few veterinary clinics in the area that provides three different levels of dental care. We recommend the non-aesthetic approach for mild build up; non-anesthetic dental is available twice a month. However, we also provide sedative dental care; a light sedative can be used for more deep cleaning or pets who seem a bit anxious or we can use anesthesia for extractions.
